Brendan Moeller

Founder & Executive Chairman

Brendan Moeller is a 20-year veteran of the property and casualty insurance marketplace and began his insurance career in 2003 at The Hartford in New York City, working in the Middle Market underwriting group. He later moved into the surplus lines segment, working with one of the largest wholesale Excess and Surplus lines distributors in the country. In 2017, he founded Flood Risk Solutions a flood focused MGA, which was successfully acquired by one of the largest PE backed MGU’s in the United States. Sosa365 established in 2023, was founded on his firsthand understanding of the operational challenges carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and agencies face, including workflow complexity, service consistency, data quality, policy administration, underwriting support, and scalable back-office execution.

By combining insurance expertise with a technology-forward and process-driven mindset, he is able to identify where outsourced support can create meaningful value, reduce operational friction, improve turnaround times, and enhance the client and customer experience.

His background in building platforms, launching products, managing carrier relationships, and scaling specialty insurance operations has helped him successfully navigate the BPO environment with a clear focus on performance, trust, accountability, and long-term partnership. He brings a client-centered perspective to outsourcing, ensuring that BPO solutions are designed to support growth, strengthen operational capacity, and deliver measurable results for insurance organizations. Brendan holds the CPCU designation and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University. He is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nicolas Arena

CEO

Nicolas Arena brings more than 15 years of cross-industry leadership experience in insurance operations, customer experience, business intelligence, technology, and process optimization. Throughout his career, he has built teams and managed complex operational environments across international markets, giving him a deep understanding of the service, workflow, compliance, and scalability demands that insurance organizations face.

As CEO, Nicolas leads Sosa365 with a people-first approach to building a high-performing BPO organization designed specifically to support the insurance marketplace. His experience across operations and technology allows him to understand the challenges carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, agencies, and service providers encounter every day, including policy administration, underwriting support, data accuracy, claims-related workflows, customer service, renewal processing, and back-office execution.

Nicolas’ leadership is focused on creating outsourced solutions that help insurance organizations improve efficiency, strengthen service consistency, and scale without sacrificing quality or control. By combining operational discipline, workforce optimization, process improvement, and data-driven performance management, he helps ensure that BPO partnerships are structured to deliver measurable value.

His vision is to build a BPO platform where culture, innovation, compliance, and operational excellence work together to support long-term client growth. Through investments in talent, technology, governance, and scalable delivery models, Nicolas is committed to helping insurance clients reduce operational friction, improve turnaround times, enhance the customer experience, and build partnerships rooted in trust, transparency, accountability, and results.

Melissa Valderrama Serpa

Business Development & Operations Analyst

Melissa leads the business development and operations consulting team, bringing more than 14 years of experience in operations, commercial strategy, and business growth across the insurance, banking, industrial, and service sectors. Her background gives her a practical understanding of how complex organizations operate and how the right combination of people, process, and technology can improve performance.

Within the insurance industry, Melissa focuses on helping carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, agencies, and service providers evaluate operational needs and identify where outsourced support can create meaningful value. Her work includes analyzing workflows, improving service delivery, supporting process design, and helping develop BPO solutions that align with the specific demands of insurance operations.

A proven business leader, Melissa has experience optimizing operational processes, developing high-performing teams, and implementing data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency, productivity, and revenue growth. She understands the importance of accuracy, consistency, turnaround time, and compliance in insurance-related workflows, including underwriting support, policy servicing, data management, customer service, renewal support, and administrative operations.

Through her work in operations consulting, Melissa helps connect client strategy with practical execution. Her ability to evaluate business processes, uncover inefficiencies, and support scalable outsourcing models helps ensure that BPO partnerships are built to adapt, perform, and deliver sustainable results for insurance organizations.
